Rob Fortunato, winner of 10 national Emmy awards, 2 Peabody awards, and an Edward R. Murrow award has been developing programming since 1995.
Rob launched (RFP) Rob Fortunato Photography, LLC. in 1998. RFP offers clients full scale video, commercial and film crews for both development and production.
For almost 20 years, Rob has specialized in broadcast programming for network, commercial and corporate clientele. Rob works as a media consultant for some of his global clients and specializes in conceptualizing and implementing visual branding for broadcast and agency clientele. His ability as a DP/Director to bring his vast production experience to his projects is an invaluable asset to any client.
Rob began his professional career as a news cameraman for KGMB-9, CBS in Honolulu Hawaii and relocated to New York where worked as an AC for several years before launching RFP in 1998. Since that time, he has traveled extensively, worldwide, for a myriad of clients.
“I think that what separates my production team from others, is not only our years of experience working with diverse clientele, but simply, our passion for image making and helping our clients succeed with their projects. I’m proud of the years I’ve spent in the field working in news as a foreign photo-journalist where you had to remain attentive to your surroundings and adaptable. Decades later those experiences translate into the confidence you need to make the right decisions for your clients. Our clients depend on us to think outside of the box and remain innovative.”
Rob’s current work consists of commercial agency work, network and documentary film-making. In 2015, he collaborated with 15 time Emmy award winning Director, Brian Brown as the DP for The Last Gold, narrated by Julianna Margulies. It was selected for screening by the L.A. Film festival in 2016. This December, Peter Berg’s film Patriots’ Day premiers in select cities and nationwide in January. Rob was the DP of the field unit for the non-fiction portions of the film and visual liaison between CBS Films and Film44.
Rob lives in Potomac, Maryland with his wife and two children.
